The couple began the wedding day with a traditional tea ceremony performed at both parent's home in Milton and Malden, MA. Afterwards, we headed to The State Room in Boston for the actually ceremony. The State Room has the most gorgeous skyline of the city and Lisa and Will made such a wonderful choice choosing this venue. Dana of Bumble Bee Landing designed the soft palette floral arrangements and Photographer, Glen of DMPJ Photography captured the day perfectly. Maria from New England Conservatory played the harpist for the ceremony as well as the cocktail hour and the bride's little cousins from Canada performed a special piece dedicated to the bride and groom. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed the cocktail hour on the mezzanine level.
There were few hours in between before the reception so the entire bridal party took advantage of the gorgeous city for more photographs. My assistants and I headed to Hei La Moon in Chinatown to start setting up for the banquet. The escort cards were heart shaped and individually folded by the couple themselves. They turned out so pretty but can you imagine how much time it took? By the way, there were over 300 guests at the reception! As for the centerpieces, they were orchid plants attached with a different picture of Lisa and Will holding numbers used as table numbers.
Konditor Meister based in Braintree did a great job with the wedding cake design and DJ Nick of Beat Train Productions was terrific and really got the crowd going the entire night. Guests also enjoyed the photo booth station put together by the bride's brother, David. Towards the end the evening, our wonderful friends at Brighter Lights Media shared a same day edit video on a large screen of Lisa and Will's wedding day and there was not a dry eye in the room!
Lisa and Will, thank you so much for allowing us to take part of your special day and trusting us with one of the most important day of your lives. Special thanks to my wonderful assistants, Alecia and Phil.
Sweet Planning!
Linda
